Is la isla worth it ? Im interested in going but i want to know what to expect.

I saw there is a cover charge and they try to make you buy a bottle ? Please clarify

Do they have quality girls for good prices ? What are average rates to get a room for an hour?

Do you pay cash in COP directly to the girl after the service or does the club bill you for the hour and you can pay visa card ?

Should i have COP cash in hand, is it part of the culture there to throw money on dancers or no ?

Is it a good experience/ worth it or are the casas better experience for the money spent ?

You should expect a cover charge of ~50k COP. They might try to get you to buy a bottle, but let them know you don't drink much. You are just there to find a girl. The only place I've seen that will actually turn you away if you don't buy a bottle is Fase2, but that is not everytime. It happened to me, but I know other people who got in without buying a bottle at Fase2.

The girl will be about 600k COP all-in but some charge more. Another guy I know got quoted 750k COP in March, but it could have been the girl, or the fact that they were obviously drunken gringos who don't speak Spanish so they were making it easy to be overcharged, or not necessarily "over" charged, but "up" charged for the hassle of dealing with them . These guys get a little silly. Other girls may charge more if you try to take them home.

You should pay the club directly at the bar unless they changed this recently.

Take some COP in cash (see the link below for more on this).

You can pay for the service in cash or on card.

Some people (read: wasteful gringos) throw money, I never would.

IMO probably just seek out a well-reviewed casa girl. But La Isla is a good option if you want to get a girl at night. Although some casas are open late, they might be too far, or in neighborhoods that are not necessarily super dangerous, but where you don't want to be walking around at night.

But even at night, you don't have to make the trip to La Isla. You can still get a casa girl (or well-reviewed independent girl) to come to your hotel room. The extra charge for a domocilio is still cheaper than La Isla for most casas.
