Finding guide/friend and dating for 2 week trip por melbtraveler

Hi all, upcoming solo 2 week trip to Medellin tomorrow, and have spent a lot of hours reading several posts and extremely grateful for all the helpful content on here, and intend to pay it back with several reviews during my time. Unfortunately don’t know any Spanish but will be trying to learn as much as I can during my downtime there. I will aim to visit a casa/club/independent at least once a day and will mainly be looking for BBBJ and on the fairer skin side, but otherwise appreciate all body types as they have their perks. I’m in my late 20s

2 main questions:

1. I'd be interested in having a local mongering tour guide or a foreign friend with some solid mongering experience just to hang out/chat/share notes. What's the best way to go about finding one or is the ask a bit absurd? I'd be happy to pay.

2. I'm also interested in having a female companion (no sex/intimacy) or tour guide to go and explore the more typical tourist attractions, lunch dates, bike rides etc, a bit like a girlfriend experience but without anything intimate at all. Also happy to pay for this. I typically use dating apps to find companions like these in other countries but heard in Medellin it’s filled with scammers and so what is a recommended approach? Are there any job boards I should post on? Or should I try approach strangers at malls, cafes, bars etc and see if they’re interested?

In both, ideally someone that knows both just enough spanish/english to get by /help avoid gringo traps

Side notes/questions:
- I remember seeing a beginners guide that also had a list of super helpful translations somewhere, I have lost the link, could someone share?
- Are there any places/independents that lack reviews where you’d like me to try? Happy to take one for the team

Welcome to the board, from your choice of username might you be an Aussie?
For the normal touristy stuff, visit a hostel and hang out to see if you run into people in the same boat. But definitely feel their vibe and don't immediately offer money / hire anyone. You'd have a target on you straight away. You might find a helpful expat or another like minded person looking for the same thing and end up in a mutually beneficial arrangement.
As for a guide for this hobby, @prepsupport will chime in soon so see what his schedule is like. I think @Minetero takes people around also but I don't know for sure if he offers a guide service per se. Good Luck, be careful and have fun!

In response to your second question, in my personal experience, it's pretty rare to meet people who speak English here. The few that I've seen are scammers on the street who have a spiel memorized haha. I don't know anything about 'gfe', but in general if you just want to be around a woman doing touristy stuff try @medellintourguidee Valentina on instagram. I've never gone with her personally, but, she's pretty upfront and very vocal about her disdain for sex tourists on her IG, if you're able to be normal you should be able to slide by just fine. And these are paid tours, of course. Just don't bring up the fact that you're banging hookers and I imagine you're fine lol.

With that said, if you're cool, I'm cool too and am down here through your trip. I'm a fellow traveler around your age and I have a brief excursionc to Bogota planned next weekend, but am more than happy to link up if you're interested. I've got conversational experience in Spanish and this is my third visit. No need to pay me either.

I don't know any females personally who do tours. My two best guides are dudes. I'm pretty sure one will take you too casas also. As for approaching random girls, @Seven is spot on in his assessment. He has also learned a lot and been contributing so it wouldn't be a bad idea to meet up with another foreigner to get their perspective. Also, you are just as likely to find scammers that way anyhow. I think the owner of this company is a chick though she may have male guides too https://top10toursinmedellin.com/. More importantly she is totally legit and doesn't do funny stuff. I've never booked with her so I can't say much more. Just that the people I know who used that company liked it.

The thing that would always be most helpful is to try one of the higher-end outcall services. We always need more of those reviews. They are pricier though so don't over extend yourself. Their is always a risk that the chick is a dead lay.

I am indeed an Aussie! Cool, visiting hostels is usually my go to when I'm having trouble finding dates online/have a lot of free time, will definitely do that! Thank you for the recommendations! @prepsupport did chime in, big fan of both you and prepsupports posts and responsiveness, they've been so incredibly helpful, not sure if either of you are available but would be great to have lunch some time if available.

Makes sense, I had the same experience in Santiago Chile with basically no one speaking English, however I managed to have incredible experiences, one that was pretty famous on local chilean forums and it really was a pornstar like experience for 70k CLP, they also have these places called cafe con piernas which I loved, they're like bars without alcohol, and a lady essentially grinds/teases/lapdances you half naked for less than 20k CLP an hour (and you can take them to a motel nearby for full service if you choose for 70-100k CLP an hour), the only odd thing is that there are other customers fairly close by. That was one of my favourite experiences though because I do enjoy getting to know and having a chat with the women, using google translate the whole time, sometimes for 30-60 mins.

And yes would love to meet up!

Thanks for the list, excited for your beginners guide, just a list of top casas (their address, numbers, websites and telegrams if active) and a list of top clubs with approximate prices, and tips for how to use the search function properly in this forum probably goes a long way (searching for BBBJs, BBWs etc.). One thing I haven't quite figured out yet is how to search for ladies by review count - so if there's any tips there that would be appreciated!
I've been reading a lot of the spanish reviews with translate and they're great. Will probably avoid streets due to police, maybe if I'm feeling really brave I'll try that square you drew near plaza botero, that seemed safe to try, but I'm extremely paranoid about police stopping me especially without having a local or someone spanish speaking with me. Though I'm not white if that helps.

My max budget for high end is 800k COP for an hour, is that within the range of the high end you're talking about? It would need to include BBBJ otherwise I, like the other guy that posted here, also really struggle with condom sex with strangers (almost always need viagra otherwise I will struggle to keep it up).

Oh one other question, maybe not appropriate for this forum, but would like a reliable source for quality "baking soda", just to try once because the price and quality of it in australia is horrific and it's allegedly the best in the world in south america? Maybe I can ask the ladies in the casa's, are they generally into that sort of thing or generally strictly avoid it?

I saw those places on Anthony Bourdain's show a long time ago. Though they painted it more like sexy girls serving coffee. They didn't talk about the extras of course.

Yeah, it should be ready in a few days. The doc will have links to websites or telegram when they don't have a website. You will be one of the first to see it.

The search function is not super developed on the forum. The guide will have suggestions on how to make this easier though.

And yes, there are still a ton of cops downtown, BUT the space is large enough to not always be in sight of a cop. Also they don't seem to be as active as they are on Calle 10 and in Lleras. No migración either. Probably because of almost complete lack of tourists. Always be on alert.

Your budget for an hour is more than enough. That will get you 99% of women in Colombia. The overwhelming majority will be much less than that. Closer to 5-600k, with many around 400k. And again, that is for the high-end. The casa girls girls

You can DM Minetero. If you can't get a hold of him, my guy can probably help you. Again, my guide that I used mostly does the standard legit tours, but he can be hired by time too for the rest too.

I actually think a language exchange would be awesome for what you are looking for. Though I'd try to avoid a 'normal' Colombian girl as they may have an angle. If you talk to any, ask if they have a friend who does tours. Say you are looking for somebody who is licensed. That will let them know that you are not looking for a hooker (at least not for this).

As far as the rest, wish I could help, but I don't do it, so I've never look for it either. Personally, I wouldn't ask any casa ladies directly. If you do, probably at the end of your hour. Whatever you do, be subtle because many locals are sensitive about that subject. But now that you mention it, some ads used to reference what kind of extracurriculars they are into. But I can't find references to those kind of activities on any ads anymore.

Taking to working girls on this topic may also make you an easy target. I think the substance of choice for these females nowadays is the highly addictive pink powder called tussi. I would stay away from that for sure if you are offered. Plus the urban tales about girls putting scopola on their tits .... I'd prefer to be bright eyed. Why take the chance of having a health emergency while on holiday?
