I'll be visiting Medellín from August 11 for two weeks and will be traveling solo. I've read previous posts about the topic, but still have a couple of questions.

I'm staying near El Poblado, about a 13-minute drive from La Isla. I don't mind going to strip clubs alone, but I'm wondering if it's safer to visit during the day or if going at night is generally fine as long as you use common sense.

I'm also a bit concerned about transportation. Is Uber a safe and reliable option for getting to and from clubs at night? I don't plan on getting blackout drunk, but I do want to enjoy the nightlife and make sure I can get back to my Airbnb safely.

Do you intend to get laid or do an expensive eye candy tour? Strip clubs are the biggest waste of time IMO. People go to strip clubs in the states because they have to disguise the prostitution part. Why waste your time and money when the prepago scene is out in the open?

UBER is just fine for transport. I don't take yellow taxis though sometimes one is waiting at Loutron when you are done. NEVER take a cab close to Lleras park. I'm convinced they are all scammers/hustlers.

I think La Isla is fine once. Same with Fase2, but both of those clubs have been known to also require a bottle purchase, even for just one person. Playmates in el centro probably won't do that. Their prices will also be lower than the other two, but the girl quality will generally be lower too.

FYI - Loutron is not a club, but rather a high-end casa. If you want to go there during the day it makes more sense. The madam told me just before the rush (after 5pm) is best as all of the girls are there, but the crowd hasn't hit yet. So show up around 3:30-4pm. They aren't usually open that late. I think 10 or 11pm most days, and 8pm on Saturday.

...but as he pointed out, you might be overpaying. Better to go to casas during the day. Less money, you can visit girls who've been reviewed and you know provide decent to solid service for a decent price.

Appreciate the advice. I've never been to a strip club before, so I don't really know what to expect. I'll most likely go to La Isla once, and I'll probably save my money and do prepago once or twice instead. I'm mostly looking to enjoy the vibe, not trying to pick anyone up, I'll probably check out the nightsclubs in Provenza and El Poblado. Any recommendations? And is going out to nightclubs about as expensive as stripclubs? Im a solo traveler so not planning to blackout, just trying to get a bit buzz and vibe, so I will be more conservative in my adventures.
